Welcome!

Welcome, dear reader, to the blog Refraint of Sanity.

As the name clearly states, things might get a bit wierd here once in a while, but fear not! For I always manage to get back on track, one day or another. Take some time here, look around. I'm sure you'll be able to find a model or two you like, and, who knows, maybe even a guide or two might sneak in here!

I hope you'll have a great time here, and if you do, don't forget to subscribe! This blog is up and coming, and soon, hopefully, it'll be filled with all kinds of goodness.

Small update

Hello everyone ^^

Did some painting today on my test model, trying out the planned scheme. I finished it and have noticed a few things I would like to change. I did a few errors on him that will be properly done once we hit the real deal.

Such things are:
Not being sloppy with the hat as seen here.
Figuring something else to do with the gun stock. I felt like trying full metal here, but I think it needs to have the wooden finish.
Face became a bit wierd when I was trying to glaze, mixed it all wrong and it became, well, wierd... :P
And, a lot of small things that I can't bring to mind at the moment ^^'

But, now i'm on my way. I have the red, the metal, the gold, the leather, the parchment and the wax. All I need now is the wooden finish... :/
But, it'll probably come to me soon ^^

On other news I managed to write 7 pages for my project work in school in just around 2hrs ^^

Cheers everyone ^^

  1. Really nice, Vossie. I agree that I think the stock of the lasgun needs a contrasting color other than a metallic. If not a wood color, maybe black or bone?

If you can make an entire squad or army look this good, you'll have something to be proud of!

  2. Cheers mate! ^^

Black or bone is a thought... But I think i'll test the same scheme as I had on my first Vossie :)
If that doesn't work, I think I might try black or something ^^

I'll hopefully be getting my act together and start improving properly while making this army to, just need to get into the whole thing again ^^

    Then it's Ork/Daemon time I think ^^

  3. I think Jonathan covered the points I would of raised, but I still wanted to add that this is a great model, much nicer than my Vossies. If you keep the standard up for the whole army it will look very nice indeed!
